The QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is designed for first aiders in higher risk environments; these higher risk environments are outlined by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This course is ideal for you if you work in a factory, large offices or if you want a more comprehensive first aid course.
If you are a forestry worker, outdoor instructor/practitioner why not have a look at our QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work + F (RQF), which adds several outdoor elements and catastrophic bleeding to the syllabus.

Learners should arrive with clothing suitable for being in the outdoors, after working through scenarios we will often debrief outdoors- please ensure that you have enough warm layers including gloves and hats. You’ll need to bring your lunch, but we will provide tea and coffee.
Your course is delivered by outdoor professionals who have worked across the industry. All of our trainers are trained to a very high standard of advanced outdoor first aid and are qualified trainers. Our ethos and experience allow us to deliver fun, exciting and relevant training.
What do I need to bring?
You should arrive with comfortable clothing suitable for moving around in, kneeling and even lying down. Depending on weather and the needs of the group we may also head outside! You’ll need to bring your lunch, but we will provide tea and coffee.
Who will my trainer be?
Our courses are all delivered by training professionals who work across various industries, including the outdoor industry. Your trainer will hold an advanced first aid certificate and education qualifications. Your trainer will have lots of real-life experience dealing with first aid incidents.
What accreditation will I gain?
When you successfully complete this course, you will gain a QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), accredited by Qualifications Network UK which is valid for three years. The qualification is suitable for anyone designed as a first aider in a higher-risk environment. It is also ideal for members of the public who would like to develop life-saving skills and techniques! Our previous customers have included school teachers, youth leaders, engineers and office workers.
What will I learn?
You will learn lots over the three days, including the necessary protocols for examining and managing a casualty in a first aid situation. You’ll also learn how to look after an unconscious casualty who is breathing, and if they are not breathing, now to perform CPR. You will also learn what to pack in your first aid kit. Will I be assessed?
Yes, you will be assessment is an integral part of learning. We aim to keep the process as simple and relaxed as possible. You will complete a practical observation and a multiple choice question paper.
How do I get to Pinkston Paddlesports?
Driving: Pinkston Watersports Centre can be reached from junction 16 of the M8. There is free parking on site.
Public Transport: Pinkston Paddlesports is a short walk from Cowcaddens Underground.
