Course: Level 3 Award in Forest School First Aid (RQF)
Duration: 2 days (16 hours)
Course Times: 9.30am-5.00pm, both days.
Location: Drumpellier County Park
Our two day Forest School first aid course is accredited by Qualifications Network UK and is valid for 3 years. It is specifically designed for forest school practitioners and meets the requirements of the HSE, Forest School training providers, and many outdoor national governing body awards. It blends paediatric and outdoor first aid to ensure that the candidate can deal with a wide variety of incidents. Our previous customers have included Forest School practitioners, youth workers and outdoor instructors.
Learners love our the blended approach on our outdoor first aid courses, while on the course the typical day will involve workshops, skill development sessions and outdoor scenarios.
Learners should arrive with clothing suitable for being in the outdoors, after working through scenarios we will often debrief outdoors- please ensure that you have enough warm layers including gloves and hats. You’ll need to bring your own lunch but we will provide tea and coffee.
Our course will be delivered by outdoor professionals who have worked across the industry. All of our trainers are trained to a very high standard of advanced outdoor first aid and are qualified trainers. Our ethos and experience allow us to deliver fun, interesting and relevant training.
How to get to Drumpellier Country Park
Driving: Drumpellier Country park is on the A752, two miles north of the A8/M8 Glasgow/Edinburgh trunk-road and is easily found close to Junction 2A on the M73 motorway, follow signs for Coatbridge.
Public Transport: The closest rail station is Blairhill Rail station, which is approximately a 30 minute walk to the park.
