Welcome to the home of The Adventure Academy CIC, a social enterprise based in Scotland who deliver outdoor activities and personal development programmes. We specialise in providing Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, Navigation courses, outdoor first aid training. We also offer hillwalking, Nordic Walking, paddlesports, white water rafting, team building and more.
We deliver a wide range of first aid courses in Glasgow and throughout Scotland. Our sessions are all interactive and fun, minimising powerpoint.
Our outdoor first aid course is our flagship course. It is delivered over two days (16 hours). It is perfect if you are working outdoors with groups or in a remote environment. We run this course throughout the year; often the first weekend of the month, although we do run courses during the week as well.
Our First aid at work course (sometimes called FAW) meets the requirements of a high-risk workplace environment. We deliver the course over three days from our Glasgow base. This first aid course is perfect if you need your three-day first aid at work or you need a current certificate renewed. We’d recommend this first aid course for factory workers, large offices and schools.
Our Emergency first aid at work course (sometimes called EFAW) meets the requirements of a low-risk workplace environment. perfect course for quite offices, schools and businesses.
Our Forest School first aid course is specially designed for teachers, youth workers and outdoor professionals who work in a forest school setting or work with younger children outdoors. What’s even better, after successfully completing the course you can also be accredited with the Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Outdoor First Aid certificates. Perfect if your work requires you to hold these additional qualifications.
